BioMap secures HKIC funding to boost AI and biotech in Hong Kong

The startup is working on expanding its presence in the city.

US-based biotech startup BioMap has secured funding from Hong Kong Investment Corporation Limited (HKIC) to boost innovation across sectors, including biopharmaceuticals, green technology, and new industrialisation.

BioMap is amongst the second batch of strategic enterprises signed by the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) to operate in Hong Kong.

Earlier this year, BioMap established its presence at the Science Park. It will also launch its inaugural BioMap Innovation Hub in Hong Kong to expand its global operations.

BioMap also launched its first Innovation Hub to attract global innovators and foster local I&T talent, advancing Hong Kong's AI for life sciences ecosystem.

In addition, BioMap secured a US$1b partnership with Sanofi and collaborates with over 10 commercial partners and over 200 academic institutions.
