Hang Lung unveils new footbridge linking Amoy and Kowloon Bay

The bridge features solar panels and provides 24-hour access.

Hang Lung Properties Limited has inaugurated a new footbridge that will connect Amoy Plaza, the East Kowloon Cultural Centre, and Kowloon Bay MTR Station.

The Amoy Footbridge provides 24-hour access for residents, visitors, workers, and students to move around the Kowloon Bay district.

It is also equipped with solar panels as part of Hang Lung's sustainability efforts.

“The Amoy Footbridge is expected to improve connectivity for the community by providing a weather-proof and traffic-safe passage to Amoy Plaza,” Mikael Jaeraas, Senior Director – Retail and Hong Kong Business Operation of Hang Lung Properties, said.

The bridge was developed as part of the government's Energizing Kowloon East initiative and was first outlined in the 2011 Policy Address.
