Karrie International's profits soared 65% to HK$41.9m

Thanks to its strong manufacturing business.

According to a release, Karrie International Holdings Limited's profit after tax increased significantly by 65% to approximately HK$41,937,000, of which around HK$83,573,000 was from the manufacturing business.

Basic earnings per share up 62% to HK2.1 cents. The increase in the turnover of manufacturing business was a result of the implementation of stringent cost control, streamlined structure and lean production, and the benefits from production automation strengthened by the Group.

As the consumer-related and services businesses including wedding service is still in the investment stage, the overall operation is still being ramped-up.

Looking ahead, the Gruop will strive to maintain a sound financial position, retain the well-established industry segment for supporting the development of the consumer-related and services businesses, thereby laying a solid foundation for business diversification
