AEONMaxValu Prime Tsim Sha Tsui Store opens

The premium mall at the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui opens auspiciously amidst steady growth of the local economy, an improving job market and rising disposable income.

AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited (“AEON Stores”) officially opened AEON MaxValu Prime Tsim Sha Tsui Store, its first premium supermarket in Hong Kong, with a grand opening ceremony today. The investment cost of the new store is approximately HK$20 million, financed by internal resources.

While celebrating the grand opening of the new store, the Group also held a “charity wine auction” and the “hearty flower donation”, which raised over HK$60,000 in total. To support environmental protection, the fund raised was donated to The Conservancy Association for environmental protection-related activities.

Mr. Lam Man Tin, Managing Director of AEON Stores, said in his opening speech, “We are pleased to open AEON MaxValu Prime, our first premium supermarket in Hong Kong, at The ONE in Tsim Sha Tsui. While Tsim Sha Tsui is one of the busiest commercial and tourist districts in Hong Kong, The ONE is located in the heart of this district, providing access to local consumers looking for trendy lifestyle as well as a large volume of tourists from overseas and Mainland China, which presents huge business opportunities for the new store.”

Occupying an area of approximately 28,000 sq. ft., AEON MaxValu Prime Tsim Sha Tsui Store targets customers seeking quality living and a trendy lifestyle. The new store carries the best and most comprehensive food and fresh produce, stylish merchandise and household goods from different countries. There are also dedicated counters for selling premium grade meats, sushi provided by Nakajima Suisan, Italian ham, fine wines and an international cuisine, as well as sections featuring trendy lifestyle products. In addition, a number of exclusive home-made sauces are offered with fine food such as oysters and steaks, allowing customers to enjoy tailored new flavours. 

Another highlight of the new store is that it has introduced many licensed franchisees, including Okinawa Route 58, an Okinawa products specialty shop; Star Chefs Selection, the abalone expert; and AMIKO Gelato, an Italian ice-cream shop. These franchisees are all making their debut in Hong Kong. For added delight, The Cocoa Trees, an internationally renowned popular chocolate brand; Tutti Frutti, the world’s largest yogurt chain store; and Kings Pastry, a German cake shop offering homemade flavours, will be present as well. All of these shops offer delicious food that meets the demand of discerning customers, according to a AEON Stores report.

During the opening period between 29 June and 7 July, AEON MaxValu Prime Tsim Sha Tsui Store will host the Korean Food Fair at Atrium, UG2, The ONE, offering selected Korean delicacies and beverages to customers.
