Expired index futures contracts to be settled on 30 September

That is if they expired on 29 September and could not be settled due to market closure.

The same applies to stock index options that expired on 29 September, according to HKEx.

A report on Reuters said, “It was the first time the market's closure in a typhoon coincided with futures contracts expiry.”
