Government issues alert against bogus website

The website www.schmailhk.com looks similar to Shanghai Commercial Bank's online portal.

In a government release, the Monetary Authority issued an alert on fraudulent website www.scbmailhk.com, which looks similar to the official website of Shanghai Commercial Bank.

The bank has clarified that it has no connection with the fraudulent website, and has reported it to Police.

Anyone who has provided personal information to the site or has conducted any financial transactions through it should contact the bank at 2818 0282, or Police at 2860 5012.
