ACE Life, a part of the ACE Group of Companies, global leaders in insurance and reinsurance, announced Friday the opening of its new Asia Pacific Regional Office in Hong Kong. The office has been relocated from Thailand to Hong Kong to cope with ACE’s growing life insurance operations in Asia Pacific. Led by Saloon Tham, Regional President, ACE Life Asia Pacific, the regional management team is now based at ACE Tower in Causeway Bay, one of the busiest commercial centres in Hong Kong, according to an ACE Life report.
Mr Tham said, “The relocation of our regional office to Hong Kong is a significant milestone for ACE Life’s expansion in the Asia Pacific region, more so with the commencement of our Korea and Hong Kong operations in the first half of the year. It symbolizes the growth and importance of our insurance business in Asia as well as the ACE Group’s continued commitment in the region.”
He added, “Our Asia Pacific life insurance business now spans seven markets, namely China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. With the relocation of our regional office, we are poised to benefit from Hong Kong’s leading position as a financial services hub. Hong Kong has a deep talent pool, well developed infrastructure and is a good vantage point to explore new business opportunities in the region.”
