Gov't signs IP deals with Cambodia and Malaysia
The agreements outlined information exchange, training and commercialisation initiatives.
Two memorandums of understanding (MoU) were signed with Cambodia and Malaysia to establish a framework for regional cooperation in intellectual property, according to a press release.
The agreements were signed separately with Cambodia’s Department of Intellectual Property and Malaysia’s Intellectual Property Corporation following meetings held during the Business of Intellectual Property Asia Forum.
Under the MoUs, the parties will exchange IP-related information, conduct personnel training and capacity-building activities, and organise seminars and conferences to strengthen professional capabilities in IP administration and services.
The signings took place alongside the two-day BIP Asia Forum on 4 and 5 December, which featured more than 100 speakers from regional and international IP authorities.
