Uber rolls out premium Elite service in Hong Kong

The service will only take reservations from 2 hours to 90 days ahead.

Uber has launched Uber Elite in Hong Kong through a partnership with Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings, marking the ride-hailing company's Asia-Pacific debut for the premium mobility service.

The service allows riders to book licensed premium vehicles that can seat up to six people through the Uber app. Kwoon Chung will provide the vehicles and chauffeurs.

Uber Elite operates on a reserve-only model, with bookings available from two hours to 90 days before a trip.

Riders can receive 30 minutes of waiting time for regular trips and 60 minutes for airport pickups, with customer support available around the clock.

It targets business travellers, corporate clients, high-net-worth individuals, tourists, and other riders seeking premium ground transport.

Uber said chauffeurs must complete a six-hour training programme covering safety, service standards, and app familiarisation, and pass an assessment before taking their first trip. Kwoon Chung has deployed a premium fleet with valid Hire Car Permits for the service.

Uber Elite also includes airport meet-and-greet, Wi-Fi, bottled water, snacks, device charging stations, and wet wipes.

Uber is offering users 50% off their first Uber Elite trip, capped at $2,000, through 31 August.
