Gov’t appoints new members to Northern Metropolis Advisory Committee

They will begin a new two-year term starting 10 February.

The government has appointed new non-official members to the Advisory Committee on the Northern Metropolis (ACNM) and its four sub-committees for a two-year term starting 10 February.

The newly appointed ACNM members include Cheng Jie, Lee Shing-put, Sunny Lee, Timothy Ma, and Simon Ng, who will also serve on their respective sub-committees.

Additionally, Professor Karl Tsim has been appointed as a co-opted member of the Sub-committee on Development of Industries.

The ACNM, chaired by Financial Secretary Paul Chan, provides recommendations on planning, industry development, transport, infrastructure, and public engagement.

“The development of the Northern Metropolis has been advancing on all fronts at full speed,” he said. “The valuable insights provided by the ACNM members are instrumental in our work.”
