Buildings Department approves six projects in August

It also approved the start of 11 building projects.

The Buildings Department approved six building plans in August, including two in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.

Amongst the approved plans, three were for apartment or apartment-commercial developments, two were for commercial projects, and one was designated for community services.

The department also approved the start of 11 building projects, which will deliver 3,116 residential units (175,707 sq m) and 37,338 sq m of non-domestic space.

In addition, the department confirmed the start of superstructure works for 13 building projects.

During the month, 13 occupation permits were issued, including four on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon, and four in the New Territories. The newly certified buildings offer 39,922 square metres of domestic gross floor area across 592 units and 298,335 square metres for non-domestic purposes.

The department also received 2,716 reports of unauthorised building works in August and issued 504 removal orders in response.
