
Hong Kong slips to third in lifestyle index amidst regional shifts
In Asia Pacific specifically, business flights (+12.6%), watches (+9.0%), and even bicycles (+5.5%) saw notable jumps.
Hong Kong dropped one position to third place in the 2025 Julius Baer Lifestyle Index, following Singapore in first and London in second.
The city ranked third globally, marking its third consecutive year in the global top three.
The report showed that regional spending amongst Asia-Pacific HNWIs remains strong. In the past year, 65% spent more on fine dining and smartphones, 64% increased hotel spending, and 63% reported higher healthcare expenditures.
Rising global prices for luxury experiences have also contributed to the rankings. Business class flights rose 18.2% YoY, whilst watches climbed 5.6% and hotel suite rates increased 3.1%.
