FS Paul Chan meets APEC finance ministers in San Francisco 

Chan shared views on topics such as green and sustainable finance.

Financial Secretary Paul Chan met with finance ministers of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member states in San Francisco, US, to discuss issues on the global economy and future development trends.

The ministers also discussed ways to accelerate the development of green and sustainable finance.

FS Chan talked about Hong Kong’s current economic and financial situation and its drive to create new impetus for economic development in emerging industries.

He highlighted Hong Kong’s efforts to attract enterprises and talents engaged in developing AI and data science.

FS Chan also met with Philippine Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno and exchanged views on economic and social developments. 

He also had dinner with Hong Kong expats in San Francisco to understand their working and living conditions and their businesses or career development in the US.
