Hong Kong has 22 land transactions in second quarter

An electricity substation in Tseung Kwan O and a research complex and student hostel in North Point are among the transactions which had about $752.06mn total land premium.

The Lands Department registered 20 lease modifications and two land exchanges in the Land Registry during the quarter ending June, of which nine were modifications of a technical nature involving nil premium. The land transactions realised a total land premium of about $752.06 million.

Of these 22 land transactions, 10 are located on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and eight in the New Territories. The transactions exclude small-house cases.

Another two lots were granted by private treaty during the period. One was for an electricity substation in Tseung Kwan O and the other one was for the development of a research complex and student hostel in North Point.
