The newly launched platform unifies the entire agent workflow into a single digital system for agency members across Hong Kong and Macau.

Manulife (International) Limited won Online Services - Insurance in the Hong Kong Business Technology Excellence Awards 2026 for its newly launched Manutouch 2.0 platform.

Before the rollout, agents relied on multiple separate systems to carry out daily tasks, including legacy web portals and standalone applications for sales, proposals, policy maintenance, and claims. Different platforms showed inconsistent data and required separate sign-ons, creating operational friction during customer interactions.

Manutouch 2.0 addresses these challenges by unifying the full agent journey behind a single sign-on accessible via web and mobile devices. The platform consolidates several core systems, including electronic point of sale, electronic proposals, policy maintenance, electronic claims, training modules, and business intelligence dashboards into one connected environment.

By building the system on a single unified data layer, agents access consistent customer and policy information across all tools. The platform opens with biometric authentication, delivers priority updates through push notifications, and protects online transactions with high-standard encryption protocols. Advanced artificial intelligence features are integrated directly into the workflow, providing financial advisors with relevant information at the point of sale and real-time support during live customer conversations.

Since its deployment to thousands of agents across Hong Kong and Macau, the platform has achieved high adoption rates across the workforce. The transition eliminated system redundancies, leading to notable cost reductions and cost avoidances for the company. Operations became more efficient, resulting in an uplift in straight-through processing rates and improved agent satisfaction levels.
