
HK Express to add Kota Kinabalu route in November
Daily direct flight in three hours will open from 27 November.
HK Express announced a new route between Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, and Hong Kong with daily flights starting from 27 November 2025.
Flight UO790 will leave Hong Kong at 9:25 p.m. and land in Kota Kinabalu at 0:30 a.m., all times local. The return flight, UO791, departs Kota Kinabalu at 1:30 a.m. and arrives in Hong Kong at 4:45 a.m. same day.
Kota Kinabalu is the third destination opened in Malaysia by Hong Kong Express, following Penang and Kuala Lumpur (Subang) routes.
To celebrate the launch, discounted one-way flights starting at $88 are available for all three Malaysian destinations from 11 a.m. on 14 July to 11:45 p.m. on 17 July.
Applicable travel periods for the discount flights from 27 November 2025 to 28 March 2026 for Kota Kinabalu, 1 August 2025 to 28 March 2026 for Kuala Lumpur (Subang), and 22 July 2025 to 28 March 2026 for Penang.
Kota Kinabalu is home to Malaysia's highest peak, Mount Kinabalu, with world-class diving destinations.
