Hong Kong Airlines adds Sydney to its flight destination
It is the second local airline to operate the route.
Hong Kong Airlines took off from Hong Kong to Sydney for the first time on 20 June, making it the second local airline to operate this route.
The new non-stop return flights are scheduled daily using Airbus A330 aircraft, featuring business and economy class cabins, according to Hong Kong Airlines’ President Jeff Sun.
Flight HX017 will leave Hong Kong at 10:25 p.m. and land in Sydney at 9:50 a.m. the next day, all times local. The return flight, HX018, departs Sydney at 11:30 a.m. and arrives in Hong Kong at 7:10 p.m.
Passengers travelling on this route or transit at Hong Kong for selected Hong Kong Airlines flights between 20 June and 31 October 2025 could use Hong Kong Airlines’ lounge "Club Autus" at Hong Kong International Airport.
The airline will launch a new service in July, with plans to increase the frequency of service, including resuming seasonal flights to the Maldives and adding flights to Da Nang, Hangzhou and Nanjing to two per day. Additionally, flights to Shanghai Pudong will be increased to four per day.
