HKIA still world’s busiest cargo airport

This is the 14th time since 2010.

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has been named as the world's busiest cargo airport for the 14th time since 2010, according to the Airports Council International.

The airport loaded and unloaded 4,938,211 metric tonnes of cargo in 2024, a 14.1% year-on-year increase.

Cathay Cargo contributed to the growth as it carried a total of 1.5 million tonnes of cargo, 11% more than the previous year, and representing around 31% of the total cargo volume handled by HKIA.
