Jollibee picks Hong Kong for spin-off listing
Richard Shin will lead the separated company as chief executive.
Jollibee Foods Corporation plans to list its international business on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the group said on 1 September, updating on a separation first announced on 6 January 2026.
The group previously made plans to list in the US.
The listing vehicle, Jollibee Foods Corporation International (JFCI), will hold JFC's current international business. Jollibee Foods Corporation will stay listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange with the Philippine operations.
JFC said Hong Kong suits the business given JFCI's existing presence and brand recognition across Asia, and gives it access to global and regional investors as it pursues growth beyond Asia, including in North America. It added that the exchange's existing Asian consumer and restaurant listings give investors reference points for valuing JFCI.
Richard Chong Woo Shin was named CEO of JFCI. He is currently chief financial and risk officer of JFC and chief executive of JFC International, and will hold both roles until the separation is completed.
Shin has three decades of finance and business leadership experience in Asia across consumer and retail, including roles at William Grant & Sons, Ralph Lauren, Bacardi and Altria. A chartered accountant, he holds a master's in accounting from McGill University and a double major in finance and accounting from Concordia University, and was named ING-FINEX CFO of the Year in 2024.
Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong said the work since January had led the group to conclude that Hong Kong was the market best aligned with JFCI's business, footprint and long-term ambitions, and described Shin's appointment as another step in setting up the company.
