Cathay makes Central Asia debut with Almaty flights
Flights will be available three times weekly.
Cathay Pacific has launched direct flights between Hong Kong and Almaty, Kazakhstan, with the first flight departing 9 January 2027.
This marks the airline’s first destination in Central Asia and the only direct passenger service linking Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.
Flight CX681 will depart at 16:25 and arrive in Almaty (ALA) at 20:30 local time. The return flight, CX680, departs Almaty at 21:50 and arrives in Hong Kong at 07:00 the following day.
Both flights operate three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, subject to regulatory approval.
Almaty is Kazakhstan's commercial and cultural capital and a key gateway to Central Asia.
