Apple to open its first store in Hong Kong

No specific date was disclosed but a spokesperson said the store will open this quarter.

A Bloomberg report said, “Apple Inc. is preparing to open its first store in Hong Kong this quarter at the International Finance Center Mall amid a surge in China sales.”

The report added that Apple, which opened its first store in China in 2008, now has two stores each in Beijing and Shanghai. “Those four stores generate, on average, the company’s highest traffic and highest revenue, Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer said in January,” noted the report.
