Victoria’s Secret to open two Hong Kong stores

World famous lingerie brand going east to meet surging demand.

Each of the two stores will have an area of 1,500 square feet or 139 square meters. One will be located at the International Finance Centre in the Central Business District and the other at New Town Plaza, a favorite of mainland Chinese shoppers.

Both IFC and New Town Plaza are owned or owned in part by Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd., the world’s biggest property developer by value.

The Victoria’s Secret is owned by Limited Brands Inc., a fashion retailer based on Ohio in the USA. Mainland Chinese shoppers are fueling sales of branded apparel and accessories in Hong Kong.

Limited Brands is very, very optimistic about Victoria’s Secret’s potential outside of North America. Chief Executive Officer Les Wexner said the company is very aware that China will be the biggest market on the planet at some point.
