Hong Kong to launch first low-altitude economy tech hall
The Tech Hall will also serve as a policy testing space under the Low-altitude Economy Regulation Sandbox.
Hong Kong will open its first “Low-altitude Economy Tech Hall” on 30 September.
Located at the HKPC Building, the facility will showcase nearly 20 technological achievements and applications from Hong Kong and mainland enterprises.
The hall is designed to present the full value chain of the low-altitude economy, including electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, drone technologies, low-altitude digital infrastructure, air traffic management systems, and geographic information platforms.
According to HKPC, the Tech Hall will also serve as a policy testing space under the government’s Low-altitude Economy Regulation Sandbox, supporting pilot projects with technical evaluation, data analysis, and regulatory exploration.
The council said the initiative aims to position Hong Kong as a hub for low-altitude innovative applications in the Asia-Pacific, in line with the HKSAR government’s 2025 Policy Address.
