Secretary Cheung also discussed the future developments of doing arbitrations with Permanent Court of Arbitration Secretary-General Hab Marcin Czepelak during his visit to the court.

There he highlighted that Hong Kong has an established comprehensive framework for mutual legal assistance in civil and commercial matters with the Mainland under “one country, two systems.”

He also said that the city had concluded three legal arrangements with Mainland China, including one that concerns mutual enforcement of arbitral awards and mutual assistance in court-ordered interim measures for arbitral proceedings.
