Gov’t appoints 34 new members to CE’s council of advisers
Their term runs until 30 June 2027.
The government has appointed 34 members to the Chief Executive’s Council of Advisers. Their term starts Tuesday and runs until 30 June 2027.
The Council, formed in 2023, advises the chief executive on Hong Kong’s strategic development and how to capitalise on national and global opportunities.
Chief Executive John Lee said the members are leading figures in their fields or internationally recognised experts. He noted their advice has been valuable to Hong Kong’s development.
Lee said he expects the Council to continue providing input on issues such as boosting competitiveness during economic restructuring, aligning with national strategies, expanding international ties, and strengthening regional cooperation.
