HKSAR passport holders gain visa-on-arrival access to Saudi Arabia

They can now apply at six control points in the country.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government has confirmed that HKSAR passport holders can now apply for a tourist visa upon arrival at six designated control points in Saudi Arabia.

Two types of tourist visas are available, namely a single-entry visa for up to 30 days and a multiple-entry visa for up to 90 days.

Additionally, passport holders can apply for an eVisa through the official website before their trip. They are encouraged to consult the Consulate General for further details before travelling.

Meanwhile, the Immigration Department announced that, effective January 15, the visa-free period for Saudi nationals visiting the region will be extended from 30 to 90 days.

Currently, HKSAR passport holders have visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 172 countries and territories, including all six member states of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
