Ocean Park to unveil scuba diving programme

Swim with 5,000 fish from more than 450 species.

Ocean Park will launch its Grand Aquarium Scuba Diving programme on April 20, allowing guests to swim with schools of fish in its 5.2-million-litre aquarium.

The programme allows guests to swim with 5,000 fish of over 450 species, including manta ray, hammerhead sharks, and Napoleon wrasse, and will give them an inside view of the world’s largest 5.5-metre aquarium viewing dome and the 13-metre wide viewing panel.

The three-hour journey starts with a tour of the park’s work in breeding and animal care, environmental control, and life support systems, followed by a 30-minute diving session to a maximum depth of 12 metres.

All participants must be aged 15 or above and possess a minimum of Open Water certification from a recognised scuba diving course.

The programme cost including park admission is $2,180 per person, while the cost of the programme alone is $1,900.

To support animal conservation efforts, 5% of programme fees received will be donated to the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation.
