4th Hong Kong games all geared up for April kick-off

Over 3,000 athletes will be joining.

In a release, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department said the 4th Hong Kong Games will take place from April 27 to June 2.

More than 3,000 athletes are gearing up for the event. In the coming two months, they will be determined to win for their districts in the eight competition events, including athletics, badminton, basketball, futsal, swimming, table tennis, tennis and volleyball.

The games' opening ceremony will be held at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground on April 27. The opening ceremony programme and other related arrangements will be announced at a countdown ceremony to be held at Olympian City 2 on April 9.

All competition results will be announced at the games' closing and prize-presentation ceremony to be held at Kowloon Park Sports Centre on June 2.

People can vote for 'My Favourite Sporty District' and guess the 'Overall Champion of the 4th Hong Kong Games' on the games' website by May 12.

Photography enthusiasts can take pictures at sports competitions and the opening ceremony and participate in the 'Dynamic Moments Photo Contest'. Entries should be submitted by June 10.
