Hong Kong-Shenzhen tech park rolls out automated budget controls
It deployed the SAP Cloud ERP in just three months.
The Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Company Limited (HSITP) has deployed SAP Cloud ERP in three months, integrating finance, supply chain, procurement, and expense management into a single enterprise platform.
The system uses a unified data model to support financial oversight, budget control, procurement management, and inter-departmental coordination.
Automated budget controls have replaced manual input, whilst centralised monitoring allows staff to track discrepancies and access financial information.
“Staff now have instant access to up-to-date information about finance and procurement, so they can respond quickly to market changes or internal developments. And this single source of truth enables smooth collaboration across all departments,” said Gary Au, Finance Director at HSITP.
HSITP went live with the system after implementation by partner DynaSys. The company said the three-month deployment allowed it to transition to the new platform with minimal impact on daily operations.
The system also includes SAP Concur, which has replaced HSITP’s paper-based expense processes with mobile expense claims and automated approvals. Staff can submit claims in advance and complete pre-approvals through the system.
“Digitalisation is not only a tool for improving efficiency but also a core safeguard for business agility and strategic decision-making. SAP Cloud ERP combines superior performance with rapid value realisation, making it our ideal choice,” said Franky Lam, Associate Director of Information Technology at HSITP.
HSITP officially opened in December 2025 and is part of the Hetao Co-operation Zone, working with the adjacent Shenzhen Park on scientific research, industrial incubation, and the cross-boundary flow of innovation and technology talent.
The company said its operational and IT requirements will increase as it develops its research and industrial infrastructure.
HSITP said SAP Cloud ERP will provide a centralised platform that can be expanded as the park’s operations grow.
