MTR awards Tuen Mun A16 tender to Sun Hung Kai unit

Bright Grand Enterprises will hold future ownership of the commercial portion.

MTR Corporation has awarded the tender for the Tuen Mun A16 Station Package Two Property Development to Bright Grand Enterprises Limited, a subsidiary of Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited.

Under the award, Bright Grand Enterprises will be entitled to future ownership of the commercial portion of the development, MTR said on 3 September.

The Tuen Mun A16 Station Property Development will include residential units, shopping and community facilities, and a public transport interchange connected to the future Tuen Mun South Extension A16 Station.

Residents will have access to the Tuen Ma Line, with future connections to the Northern Link and East Rail Line at Kam Sheung Road Station.

The development is part of MTR’s “Rail plus Property” model, which integrates property development with railway infrastructure.

The project will support greater integration with the Chinese Mainland through its location and transport connections, MTR said.

The A16 station name remains a working title.
