Hong Kong rise to 4th in Asia-Pacific in 2021 women entrepreneurs index

It posted a 64.7 score which is an unchanged status from 2020.

Hong Kong rose to the fourth spot amongst Asia-Pacific markets in the 2021 Mastercard Index of Women Entrepreneurs (MIWE), with a score of 64.7.

Mastercard reported that Hong Kong also went up to the 17th spot in the global ranking for top economies for women in business. 

The market is listed at the sixth spot worldwide in entrepreneurial supporting conditions, underscoring the city’s acknowledgment of the risks women face in business.

Hong Kong landed eighth place globally on knowledge assets and financial assets, which shows women’s high ability to gain capital and small and medium-sized operational financing.
