Gov’t to increase Community Care Service Vouchers to 11,000

The increase will involve an annual expenditure of $900m.

The government rolled out several measures to build a caring and inclusive community in Hong Kong, including increasing the Community Care Service Vouchers (CCSVs) to 11,000 in 2024-25.

In 2Q24, the government will also increase Residential Care Service Vouchers (RCSVs) to 5,000, costing the government $1.44b annually.

Moreover, the government will allocate $130m in funding to implement a three-year pilot scheme to provide an additional subsidy of $500 per month for disabled employees, benefitting around 6,800 people.

Within three years, the government plans to provide around 900 child care centres, with 10 to be launched in phases this year, increasing the number of service centres to about 1,200 in three years.
