Norton Rose names Ji Liu new Hong Kong corporate finance partner

Ji’s extensive US securities law experience eyed to reinforces the company’s ability to cover US law aspects of securities offerings in the region.

International legal practice Norton Rose Hong Kong announced on Thursday that Ji Liu is to join the Hong Kong office's US securities law team at partner level. Ji Liu will join from Shearman & Sterling, Menlo Park Office, California, USA, where he is a Senior Associate.

Ji is a US securities law specialist and has strong experience in both equity and debt offerings. He has advised in connection with domestic and cross-border capital market transactions such as equity, investment grade, high yield, convertible debts and rights offerings in a wide range of industries, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings, shelf registrations and Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings, mergers and acquisitions, spin-off, joint venture, securitisation, bank finance and venture capital financing. Ji has also advised in relation to securities matters, corporate governance and other general corporate issues, according to a Norton Rose report.
