Hang Lung opens 390,200 sq m Westlake 66
The Hangzhou mall is over 90% leased.
Hang Lung Properties has opened Westlake 66, a 390,200 square metres (sq m) mixed-use development in Hangzhou and its 11th project in mainland China.
The development in the Wulin Central Business District comprises a shopping mall, five Grade-A office towers, and Zhejiang Province’s first Mandarin Oriental hotel. The complex is within walking distance of stations serving three metro lines.
Its retail component spans 105,900 sq m and has achieved a leasing rate of over 90% across about 250 stores. About one-third of the retail concepts are first-to-market, with more stores scheduled to open in phases throughout 2026.
The office component covers 95,600 sq m, with Office Tower E already fully leased and in operation. The Mandarin Oriental hotel is expected to open in early 2027 with 194 rooms and suites.
Westlake 66 also includes The Oasis, a landscaped urban space of more than 10,000 sq m linking the office towers, shopping mall, and hotel.
Hang Lung said the project preserves Song and Yuan dynasty relics in an in-mall exhibition hall, whilst two historic buildings at 5 Yesutang Lane and 1 Jingqingli have been restored and will open later in 2026.
The company plans to expand Westlake 66’s retail area by 40% and triple its prime street frontage to over 200 metres, in partnership with Baida Group. The new phase is slated for handover in 2028.
