PwC joins Hong Kong Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel

The coalition aims to position Hong Kong as a regional and global hub for SAF.

The PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has officially joined the Hong Kong Sustainable Aviation Fuel Coalition as part of its commitment to reaching net-zero goals by 2030.

The coalition, a collective effort with 14 partners founded by the Business Environment Council and Cathay Pacific Airways, aims to raise awareness of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) benefits, advocate for policies, foster collaboration among industry players, and influence global change in the aviation sector.

The coalition includes stakeholders across the SAF value chain, and regular meetings will contribute to an SAF Ambition Statement and a policy submission to the government by the end of 2024.

“The aim of the coalition is to spearhead decarbonisation within the aviation industry and position Hong Kong SAR as a regional and global hub for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF),” said Douglas Johnson, PwC China Net Zero leader, in a statement.

“PwC is honoured to work together with our coalition partners, leveraging our expertise to help global efforts to tackle the climate challenge,” he added.
