Hong Kong Airlines to add Melbourne route in December

Three return flights will be operated per week.

Hong Kong Airlines will add Melbourne to its routes starting from 12 December, said the company on 25 July.

Three return flights operated by Airbus A330 aircraft will be provided on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from Hong Kong Airport.

Flight HX013 will leave Hong Kong at 11:10 p.m. and land in Melbourne at 11:30 a.m. the next day, all times local. The return flight, HX014, departs Melbourne at 1:30 p.m. and arrives in Hong Kong at 7:20 p.m. the same day.

“Following the resumption of our Gold Coast service in January and the launch of our Sydney route in June, we are delighted to add Melbourne as another key destination within just six months," said Jeff Sun, Hong Kong Airlines president.

“This establishes Hong Kong Airlines as the second local carrier to offer direct flights to Australia's major cities and marks 2025 as a crucial milestone in our international transformation.”
