Cathay Pacific amongst Asia Pacific’s top carriers
The airline earned an overall score of 4.6 out of 5 in the Air Cargo Excellence Survey.
Cathay Pacific Cargo earned an overall score of 4.6 out 5 in the 2020 Air Cargo Excellence Survey, making it amongst the top carriers in the Asia Pacific region.
The airline also received a score of 4.8 out of 5 across all airlines for availability and quality of specialty cargo operations.
The survey, conducted by Air Cargo World, ranks airlines, airports and suppliers that ultimately reflects the views of the air-cargo industry.
Cathay Pacific also garnered the highest scores across several measures, particularly in its timeliness, available space, maindeck capacity, perishables, and network.
“Cathay Pacific Cargo tracks a range of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the cargo customer journey that together form the overall cargo customer experience,” Cathay Pacific Director Cargo Tom Owen said in a statement.
“We track these KPIs by port to drive continuous improvement in our performance and customer experience.”
Cathay Pacific Cargo offers nine solutions for special cargo handling, such as Priority LIFT and Courier LIFT for priority cargo, Fresh LIFT for perishables, Pharma LIFT for pharmaceuticals, DG LIFT for dangerous goods, Secure LIFT for valuables, Expert LIFT for outsized cargo, and Live Animal LIFT.
The airline also holds accreditation for both a Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations (CEIV) Fresh and CEIV Pharma, which are the International Air Transport Association’s globally recognised quality assurance programmes for product handling.
