Meet Hong Kong's patent advisors

The committee on patent system review will be chaired by Andrew Liao.

According to a release, Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So has formed the Advisory Committee on the Review of the Patent System in Hong Kong.

Chaired by Andrew Liao, the committee comprises experts from patent-related fields, along with the Director of Intellectual Property, the Deputy Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (Commerce & Industry) 2, and the Assistant Commissioner for Innovation & Technology (Funding Schemes).

Mr So launched a public consultation on October 4, seeking views on reviewing the patent system to keep it up to date and ensure it helps Hong Kong's drive to be a regional innovation and technology hub.
