Wee Hur enters Hong Kong student housing with Fortress Hill asset

The 19-storey development will offer 246 beds.

SGX Mainboard-listed property and investments group Wee Hur Holdings Limited has entered Hong Kong’s purpose-built student accommodation market through Starvia by Y Suites in Fortress Hill.

In a statement, the group said leasing is expected to start in the second half of 2026.

The project follows a master lease arrangement entered into by the group’s hospitality arm, Wee Hur Hospitality, through a joint venture with Starvia Holdings Ltd.

The 19-storey, 246-bed development is located at 151 King’s Road and will offer fully furnished units.

These include Studio Deluxe apartments and shared 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom layouts in Standard and Premium configurations.

Facilities include study areas, quiet study rooms, a common laundry room, a gym, a common lounge, and 24-hour reception and CCTV security.
