Orient Overseas (International) Limited’s FY2024 profit surges 88.4% YoY

Earnings per share stood at $30.31 (US$3.90).

Orient Overseas (International) Limited (OOIL) reported an 88.4% year-on-year (YoY) increase in profit attributable to equity holders in FY2024 to $20b (US$2.58b) from $10.6b (US$1.37b) a year ago.

Earnings per share stood at $30.31 (US$3.90), up from $16.09 (US$2.07) in 2023.

Revenue for the period rose 28.3% YoY to $83.1b (US$10.7b) from $65.2b (US$8.4b) in FY2023.

The board has recommended a dividend payout of 50% of the profit attributable to equity holders at approximately $9.9b (US$1.28b), with a proposed payment of a final dividend of $10.26 (US$1.32) per share for 2024.

The final dividend will be payable in cash in either US dollars, Hong Kong dollars, or Renminbi.
