Property sales down 10.1% in August
Total consideration for residential units was $28.5b.
The Land Registry recorded 4,729 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in August, 10.1% lower than in July but 1.5% higher year-on-year (YoY).
The total consideration for these agreements dropped by 19.6% to $34.3b in August; however, a 1.6% YoY increase was recorded.
On the agreements, 3,654 were for residential units, representing a 1.9% decrease but a 12.5% rise YoY.
The total consideration for residential units was $28.5b, which was down by 20.2% in August and 0.6% YoY.
There were 396,458 land register searches last month.
