ICAP Adds Hong Kong LME Desk

ICAP plc. expanded its base metals broking business with the addition of an LME desk in Hong Kong. ICAP also announced it has hired Jason Dobson to join the desk in Hong Kong.

Jason has over 11 years experience as a senior metals trader and joins ICAP from Citigroup. Prior to this he was at ANZ.

ICAP began broking London Metal Exchange base metals in January 2009, with a Category Two membership of the LME and is now a leading broker in futures and options on LME metals contracts. The business has grown rapidly and now has a global team of about 15 .

Jason brings a great deal of experience to our brokerage model and the launch of our Hong Kong based desk further recognises the importance of the region to our business,” said Robert Rees, Global Head of Base Metals at ICAP.
