Carta opens Hong Kong office for $240b private markets push

New hub complements Singapore regional headquarters.

Carta has opened a Hong Kong office, creating a dual-hub Asia network with its Singapore regional headquarters as it expands its private capital services in the region.

The company said the new office will support general partners and limited partners operating across the Greater Bay Area, whilst Singapore will continue to anchor activity across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.

The Hong Kong team will cover sales, marketing, customer experience, and fund administration. Carta said the office will provide services including fund formation, capital calls, and automated waterfall modelling, with support in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

Carta said the new office formalises its previous involvement in the city’s institutional network, including industry forums such as the Asia Private Equity Forum and the AVCJ Private Equity Forum.

The company said Hong Kong is its 15th office worldwide and has offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, and Sydney across the region.
