It is also planning a Hong Kong listing.
Invest Hong Kong has announced the grand opening of Mei KTV's first flagship store in Hong Kong, located in the Lan Kwai Fong district in Central.
The venue, managed by the brand’s Singapore-based design team, combines local elements with luxurious karaoke rooms, a full-screen display, a performance stage, and interactive features like a virtual DJ mixing station.
Alpha Lau, director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, welcomed the brand’s expansion, stating that Hong Kong provides an ideal platform for international growth.
Tang Hong Wei, CEO of Mei KTV, highlighted Hong Kong’s importance as the birthplace of Chinese pop music and a bridge to international markets.
He said the store will serve as a launchpad for expansion into Southeast Asia, with plans for a regional office in Hong Kong.
“We plan to use this as a base to gradually expand into Southeast Asian markets like Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore, and establish a regional office here in the future,” he said.
Mei KTV, which currently operates nearly 800 stores across over 100 cities in Mainland China, is also planning a Hong Kong listing.
The brand integrates AI and virtual reality into its karaoke offerings, targeting young audiences with innovative features like AI-powered sound correction and metaverse music video production.
