Kaseya to acquire Intellipool

The purchase is expected to further Kaseya’s move into network performance monitoring.

Kaseya® today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Intellipool AB, a network performance monitoring company. Intellipool immediately brings enterprise-class network performance monitoring capabilities to the Kaseya product line giving customers best-of-breed enterprise monitoring. In combination with the Kaseya automated and integrated IT management platform, customers will enjoy industry leading monitoring, proactive remediation, and service level management that will open up new business opportunities for managed service provider customers as well as offer new levels of IT automation for IT departments of any size.

This acquisition furthers Kaseya’s strategy to move deeper into network performance monitoring by incorporating Intellipool’s lightweight, feature-rich, enterprise-class, network performance monitoring solution. System monitoring has always been a key element of the Kaseya solution. Administrators can provide a higher level of service by systematically detecting issues and automatically remediating those issues rather than waiting to be informed by end users. The integration of Intellipool into Kaseya provides administrators with a new, powerful, agentless, network performance monitoring solution, extending monitoring to the application layer, additional platforms; including Unix, as well as edge devices. The Intellipool network performance monitoring solution combined with the power of the Kaseya automation framework brings a unique and game-changing approach to IT infrastructure management.

“Kaseya is capitalizing on our leadership position in IT Automation space,” commented Gerald Blackie, CEO of Kaseya. “The acquisition is a direct result of listening to our customers and developing a product based on those conversations to meet their business requirements.” Kaseya will offer the current Intellipool solution as an integrated, add-on to the Kaseya framework this month. In addition, Kaseya plans to integrate the next generation of Intellipool’s network performance monitoring product within the Kaseya platform to simplify operations and increase business opportunities for customers by the end of this year.

“The entire Intellipool AB team is very pleased to be joining the Kaseya organization and are excited by the opportunity this represents for our customers. Intellipool’s dedication to making a better product by listening to our customers and applying the feedback has paid off with this announcement of our acquisition,” said Robert Aronsson, co-founder of Intellipool AB.
