Businesses gain access to HKGAI AI agent platform
It aims to address disconnection, context loss and high computing costs for complex tasks.
The Hong Kong Generative AI Research and Development Centre (HKGAI) released the Application Programming Interface (API) for its HKGAI Agent Workshop to businesses, allowing companies to plug its agents into their own products.
According to HKGAI, the platform is built for enterprise-grade deployment, with fixes for mid-process disconnection, context loss and high computing costs for long processes.
It has isolation technology for data protection and can run uninterrupted for several hours. Tasks can also be completed stably with automatic recovery and auto-resume features in case of network instability or server failure, the centre said.
HKGAI said that the platform can start tasks within seconds, saves progress automatically, runs up to 10 reading tasks in parallel and compresses data to cut costs.
Guo Yike, provost of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and HKGAI director, said that the platform marks the centre’s progression from technology research & development to capability empowerment and ecosystem building.
