Kingsoft unveils new cloud computing and mobile internet products

The software developer launched WPS Office 2012, Kingsoft Secured Cloud Storage, Kingsoft Kaipun and Kingsoft Office Mobile Edition.

Kingsoft Corporation Limited (“Kingsoft”), a leading entertainment software, Internet security and application software developer, distributor and service provider in China, announced the official launch of WPS Office 2012, Kingsoft Secured Cloud Storage, Kingsoft Kaipun and Kingsoft Office Mobile Edition.

Kingsoft Secured Cloud Storage System serves as an important strategic product for Kingsoft Office Software to penetrate the Cloud Computing market. After 3 years of R&D and testing, Kingsoft Secured Cloud Storage comprises of 4 major features – “centralized storage”, “real-time synchronization”, “security control” and “office collaboration” Kingsoft Secured Cloud Storage assists to resolve the information management problems of modern enterprises by offering privately-owned cloud for enterprises with features such as “centralization”, “authorization”, “services”, etc.

In order to bring better experiences and values to users, WPS Office 2012 office software package features 3 additional components - email, PDF and input methods – on top of the existing word processing, spreadsheet and presentation functions. Kingsoft office software has a breakthrough achievement in terms of government purchase this year. Since the issue of the Notice of Legitimate Software Use in Government Organizations by The State Council Executive Meeting last October, government purchase of WPS has accounted for 56% of the overall WPS sales as of May this year. Comparing with last year, a 200% growth in sales from government purchase has been achieved, demonstrating the results of a range of supportive complementary policies and measures offered by the “Hegaoji” project to Kingosft office software. In the enterprise market, WPS received purchase order from large state-owned enterprises such as China Huadian Corporation and China Metallurgical Group Corporation as well as large financial institutions such as CITIC Bank, enhancing and expanding market dominance among the legitimate users in the large enterprise market, accoridng to a Kingsoft report.
