GDS Services unveiled HK headquarters

All is set for network expansion in Asia-Pac.

GDS Services, a high-availability IT service provider, opened its first operation centre in Hong Kong on January 24. This opening is part of the company’s network coverage expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to Invest Hong Kong, GDS’ Hong Kong operation centre will work on the implementation of the data centre, which is intended to supplement the company’s Shenzhen Futian data centre and boost GDS’ total capacity so that it can fully serve the Greater China and Asia-Pacific regions.

The founder and the Chief Executive Officer of GDS Services, Mr William Huang, said, “The opening of the Hong Kong office represents our milestone strategic layout because the city has the world’s best free market economy and a unique geographic location. The expansion marks an acceleration in GDS’ internationalisation strategy.”

He added, “With the establishment of our Hong Kong operation centre, we will be uniquely positioned to provide our customers, fast-growing local and Mainland Chinese financial institutions, with high-quality service whether they operate in the Mainland or Hong Kong.”
