AMTD buys majority stake in CapBridge

The strategic partnership will expand the global digital assets exchange platform.

AMTD Group’s digital platform AMTD Digita has acquired a majority stake in private capital platform CapBridge Financial to expand its global digital assets exchange platform, a press release revealed.

CapBridge will bring together private capital markets expertise and fintech services, such as blockchain and robo-advisory, to further develop the global private markets and digital asset space from its Singapore headquarters.

AMTD will also become a majority shareholder of CapBridge via its ‘fusion-in’ programme that includes a share swap, completely aligning shareholders’ interests on both sides. The swap is subject to the approval of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
