From grass to glass
FRISO’s formula products are made by nature and made better by science. FRISO starts at the company’s farms in The Netherlands, where dedicated farmers monitor all aspects of the farm to ensure the highest quality of milk production.
“We have applied our FOQUS system over the globe with stringent quality control of the entire supply chain, from grass to glass: from dairy farming to manufacturing and packaging,” explains Helena He, Managing Director, FrieslandCampina Hong Kong. “We believe that high quality milk is the starting point of nutrient rich powder milk. Our cows eat high quality grass, and our farmers combine generations of Dutch dairy expertise with hi-tech milking and monitoring systems to ensure full quality.”
FRISO goes directly from farms to the factory where the goodness is locked in to provide the nutrition that children need to be strong inside. Each can of FRISO is 100% produced and packed in The Netherlands. “Because of this full chain control, we can track the entire production route and ensure quality. This is possible because we own every step of the process, from grass to glass,” Helena says.
In 2017, one of FCHK’s hero brands, FRISO, was acknowledged as the No. 1 most preferred growing up milk formula among Hong Kong mothers , No. 1 in sales in Hong Kong and Macau markets for infant formula products , and while FRISOMUM Club has also become the Consumer’s Favourite Mother’s Club . In order to show appreciation to Hong Kong mothers for their continuous trust and celebrate this achievement with them, FRISO launched the No. 1 Campaign in integrated online and offline channels.
Innovation and heritage
Innovation is an essential to FrieslandCampina’s success. Following the launch of FrieslandCampina Innovation Centre in the University of Waggeningen in 2014, the FrieslandCampina Development Centre in Singapore was established in 2015 for the development of modern dairy-based beverages and infant nutrition products.
Expanding on the existing R&D and innovation achievements in the Netherlands, this research arm in Asia specifically develops products oriented towards Asian consumers. In Hong Kong, it has recently renewed product recipe and launched FRISOMUM® Dualcare+ with low GI (Glycaemic Index) in July 2017. Another example is the introduction of FRISO PRESTIGE in Hong Kong in 2017, which shows its commitment to offering diverse products to meet increasing consumer needs.
